Have you checked out the Silver Bow Events Center lately?  You really should.  They've been doing some fun things out there and have some big things coming up. The Summer Concert Series is happening on Saturdays throughout the summer in what is certainly one of the coolest outdoor music venues in the state (Check out the duo of Mark LaFond and John Stenson, known together as The Berkeley Pits this Saturday), they have had the Klobucars out for line dance lessons inside several times with more on the way, and they have also been busy booking wedding receptions. conferences and parties.  It's a great facility whether you're a host, a guest or even a performer.

What's setting Rick Joseph and his team apart, though, is their dedication to Butte.  They have put hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of work not only in the Events Center but in the Socialist Hall Building (Fran Johnsons') on Harrison with incredible results.  They believe in Southwest Montana, its people, its organizations, its workers and its even its artists by hiring local and area bands and musicians on a regular basis.  This August, the Silver Bow Events Center is doing something really cool.

"Local Bands Wednesdays" will run on August 7th and the 14th with free admission and music starting at 7pm.  20% of sales on Local Bands Wednesdays will also be given to a local charitable organization.  Here's what they've got lined up:

AUGUST 7 - MAHONEY MUSIC will be the featured act and the designated charity is Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Montana.

AUGUST 14 - MY FIST YOUR FACE will be rocking the house and the featured charity of the evening is the Butte Food Bank.
