This week is a great time to get to the Covellite at 215 W. Broadway for creativity, conversation and community.  Regular hours are now in full swing from 6pm to 10pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and the place has been buzzing with faces familiar and new.  Here is a look at what’s happening this week

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17 – OPEN MIC NIGHT

Again all singers, songwriters, poets, comedians, dancers and entertainers are welcome to stop by for their moment on the stage as open mic night, hosted by Dan Mitchem runs from 8pm to 11pm.  Stop by early to sign up for your spot.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 – FREE MOVIE NIGHT

This week’s free screening is 1991’s Raise the Red Lantern in celebration of Chinese New Year.  Showtime is set for 7pm.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19 – GAME NIGHT

Gamemaster Jeff will be hosting his original game “Buccaneers and Booty!” but of course you are welcome to bring your own games.  The Covellite will also have an assortment of games for you to try and the event is set to run from 6pm to 10pm.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20 – DAN MITCHEM RECEPTION/DESPERATE ELECTRIC WITH STILGONE

Join a reception for February’s featured artist, Dan Mitchem, local actor and the Covellite’s own open mic host.  Dan is sharing another side of his creativity through photograpy and his work will be on display from 5pm to 7pm along with your chance to meet him.  Following the reception will be a performance from Butte’s own Desperate Electric and Bozeman’s StilGone starting at 8pm.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21 – BONUS FREE MOVIE NIGHT

Enjoy 2007’s Ratatouille in the lounge and don’t forget to bring dinner, snacks and a bunch of friends.
