Fall events are firing up at the Elks Lodge in Butte and this Friday has a couple of events worth coming up for.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to line dance, get up by 6:30pm for Country Line Dance Lessons with the Klobucars.  Henry and Colleen along with their daughter, Melissa, will be instructors and you won't find better teachers, even if you've never docie-doed in your life.  They have years of experience not only in teaching dance but with their "Fine Line Dance" company that has been fixtures in the Mining City for years.  Trumping their experience is their incredibly good natured demeanor.  The Klobucars are incredibly welcoming and friendly making this session perfect for anyone who wants to put on their dancing shoes for an evening.

Following the Klobucar's line dance lessons you can catch your breath while enjoying a cold beverage and some fantastic music as Platinum Street Jazz will be taking the stage at 8pm.  Platinum Street Jazz is an ensemble group with a core of vocals, percussion, upright bass, guitar and keyboard but can incorporate brass and much more into their repertoire which includes golden oldies, jazz standards, swing, ballroom and Latin tunes as well as special requests.  You have seen them at the Empty Bowls fundraiser, the Uptown Art Walk as well as the incredible Finlen New Years Eve soiree.

Platinum Street Jazz will be performing until 11pm.

The Elks is located at 206 W. Galena in Uptown Butte.  For details or booking, please call (406) 782-3278.
