UPDATE:  Today's softball game against Dillon and baseball game at Stevensville have been postponed.  We will update when changes are made.

The Butte Central Maroons have announced their sports schedule for the upcoming week and will be hoping for a bit of cooperation from Mother Nature as things get underway this afternoon with softball at home and baseball on the road.

SOFTBALL

The Butte Central softball team will again have their fingers crossed as their rescheduled conference contest against the Dillon Beavers has been set for this afternoon at Stodden Park and will again hopefully serve as the girls' home opener.  The Maroons have got 3 games under their belt although they have yet to complete an outdoor practice.  The varsity game is scheduled for a 3pm start with the JVs getting underway at 5pm.  This afternoon's contest leads off a busy week for the softball program as they head to East Helena tomorrow (varsity at 4pm, JV at 6pm) and the Frenchtown Invitational this Friday and Saturday.  Friday's games will see the Maroons face Ronan at noon and host Frenchtown at 7pm.  On Saturday they will face Whitefish at 9:45am and Libby at 4pm.

BASEBALL

A single baseball game is on this week's schedule as the Maroons head to Stevensville with the varsity contest at 4pm and the JV game at 6pm.

TENNIS

The Butte Central tennis teams will be in action tomorrow for an all-day affair starting at 9am in Livingston and will head to Hamilton for the Bitterroot Invite with matches starting again at 9am.

TRACK AND FIELD

On the Track and Field side, the Maroons have the Top Ten meet in Missoula on the schedule for tomorrow for qualifying athletes and Saturday will host the John Tomich Memorial Track Meet at East Middle School with events beginning at 10am.
