Digger football, Mens’ hoops on the road, Women’s Basketball and Volleyball are at home this weekend
It's a busy week of activity for the Montana Tech Orediggers as the football team heads to Billings for a key conference game while the Women's Basketball team opens their season at home over the Peg Sarsfield Basketball Weekend that also includes a key Oredigger home volleyball contest.
FOOTBALL
The undefeated Orediggers will be on the road facing the Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears Friday night at 7pm at Herb Klindt Field. Rocky is 3-4 overall but their 3 wins have all been conference games. The Orediggers beat the Bears 34-23 back in Butte on September 13th but that win does not count in Frontier-East standings. Rocky has been red-hot winning their last 3 by beating Valley City State on the road 31-21, Dickinson State at home 28-21 and MSU-Northern in Havre 35-21. The Orediggers are coming off a 51-0 lambasting of Mayville State at home last Saturday.
MENS' BASKETBALL
The Oredigger Men are 2-0 after yesterday's 19-point pasting of #14 Southern Oregon and will look to improve on their mark when they take on Warner Pacific at 1pm in Dillon at Straugh Gymnasium.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Oredigger women will be in action Friday and Saturday as they host the Peg Sarsfield Weekend by taking on #15 Southern Oregon at 2pm on Friday and the College of Idaho at 5pm on Saturday. Kelvin Sampson Court will also be the site of a neutral Women's contest between Southern Oregon and Montana-Western at 7pm on Saturday.
VOLLEYBALL
A pair of home matches are on the slate for Montana Tech's Volleyball Team this weekend. Tonight (Friday) they will host Rocky Mountain College at 7pm and tomorrow they will welcome the Carroll College Saints at 2pm.
