
Plenty of things to do Thursday Night in Uptown Butte
Football and music are on tonight's schedule for those looking for a night out in the Mining City as we have a pair of football games taking place Uptown as well as Music on Main.
GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL - MISSOULA SENTINEL AT BUTTE
Coach John Stenson opens his second season at the helm of the Butte High girls flag football team who will open the 2026 campaign at home tonight against Missoula Sentinel. The Bulldogs are looking to add another State Championship to Butte High's impressive collection this season and a big crowd for the home opener is always a great first step. Kickoff is at 5pm at Naranche Stadium.
MONTANA TECH FOOTBALL VS. OUAZ
The Orediggers are looking to build on last season's undefeated regular-season and Frontier Conference Championship with another run at a national title that begins at home tonight against Ottawa University of Arizona. OUAZ has received votes in the preseaon coaches' poll while Montana Tech enters the season ranked #5. It's going to be a good one. Kickoff is set for 6pm at Bob Green Field.
MUSIC ON MAIN
Tonight is the final Music on Main event of the summer that will be held on Main Street itself and fans are in for a treat. Snacks at Midnight will be on stage at 6pm, the first 60 kids on hand will get a five dollar food truck voucher from TDS Fiber and complimentary Shirley Temples will be handed out outside of the Northwestern Energy Building. Please no coolers or pets. Next week's show will be the final event of the series and will take place outside of The Covellite.
