The Wise River Club in the beautiful Big Hole Valley has been a staple in Southwest Montana for generations now.  And thanks to new owners Tim Montana and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, The Club has recently gained a lot of notoriety not only here in Montana but all across the music-loving world.

Since the dynamic duo took over, there has been a full schedule of music and activity and business and traffic has been on the upswing.  But no matter who owns the place or what's going on, what happened a couple of nights ago is something that definitely caught our attention.

We can definitely chalk this one up in our weird and kinda creepy category.  According to a recent post in the Butte 411 Facebook group, a man with an axe showed up at the Wise River Club late Tuesday night and attempted to gain entry into the cafe and bar area.  But what makes this stand out is that the dude was carrying an axe.

From what can be made out in a security video, the man did not damage the establishment or break anything.  And while technically carrying an axe is legal, it is still a little disturbing and a lot strange.  The post goes on to say that none of the Wise River Residents who were shown the video were able to identify the man.

So, what's going on?  The folks in Wise River and at the Wise River Club would like to know who the man is.  If it's you or if you can identify him to the video, shoot them an email at info@wiseriverclub.com.
