Olivia Rae Ingram benefit August 24 at McQueen Club
Imagine welcoming a beautiful baby girl to your family. The joy of welcoming her into her new home. Introducing her to her big brother, still more or less a baby himself. The new sights of her blankets, toys and clothes. Her bassinette. Family members coming by to welcome her in person. The birth of a baby girl is indeed one of the greatest joys that we can experience.
Now imagine taking her to a doctor and getting the call that any parent dreads. A call to inform you that there is a problem with your baby's heart. And later finding out that your little angel is going to need a transplant. This is what is happening to the young Ingram family of Butte.
Olivia Rae Ingram was born on June 4th to proud parents Chris and Shea and big brother Asher. The rare disease she is battling is called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the worst case in an infant her cardiologist had seen. Olivia is currently at Seattle Children's Hospital awaiting a transplant and even after the surgery she will remain hospitalized for at least 6 months. The medical, travel and emotional cost to this family does not need to be explained, but you can certainly do what Butte does best and give them a helping hand.
Saturday, August 24th there will be a benefit/fundraiser at the McQueen Athletic Club at 3250 Hecla from 5 until 9pm. There will be a potluck dinner a silent auction and live music with Ken Rich. If you would like to make a donation or would like further details, please contact Mike Ingram at (406) 490-2611.
