Rockin’ the Rockies 2025 set for September near Lincoln, MT
For all of you youngsters out there, the time was the late 1990s and the festival in question was "Rockin' the Rockies" and it was fantastic. 3 days and nights of classic rock acts, some reformed, performing on a new stage at a new natural concert/camp area that we now know at "The Bridge" just outside of Three Forks. But a few years in, legal issues nearly put a close to the festival which rebranded as "Rockin' the Rivers" and ran annually until last summer when word got out that the festival would not be returning in 2025.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW
Almost as suddenly as it ended, though, new life has appeared to spring up. A familiar name, but a new location. The Rockin' the Rivers' Facebook group shared a post today stating that a festival, Rockin' the Rockies will be taking place, but at a new venue in Lincoln, MT. The event will take place over 2 days, September 5th and 6th at the Grantier Ranch, just south of Lincoln. The event does not have any big-name acts but will feature 20 local bands in a variety of genres from classic rock to country, folk and more with music scheduled to go into the wee hours of the morning both nights with original Rockin' the Rockies emcee, the nationally-known Rick Reed at the mic. The event is said to be family friendly with proceeds going to Disabled American Veterans of Montana and the work they do with Montana veterans. Tickets for Rockin' the Rockies can be purchased here, kids 12 and under will be admitted free.
