Butte’s Belmont Senior Center Lists October Activities
As fall settles in and the colder days become more common, there are several ways to stay warm and enjoy the season at Butte's Belmont Senior Center on East Mercury Street. Here is a look at some of the things that they have coming up this month.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The AARP Driving course will be happening on Thursday, October 10th at 9am.
Tech Tips will be returning on October 15th for those who are having issues understanding or using their cellphones, laptops or tablets. Bring your device with you to the 10:30am gathering. Also taking place at 10:30 on the 15th will be another Craft Circle session with Larissa.
Is your hearing aid in need of cleaning? Don't miss a hearing aid cleaning session with Robin taking place on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:30am.
Montana Tech student nurses will be at the Belmont Center on October 23rd and October 30th
The Halloween/Costume Party will be taking place on Thursday, October 31st from 11:30am to 1pm.
Don't miss Movie Days. Tuesday the 8th it's "Singin' in the Rain" and on Tuesday the 22nd it's "Hocus Pocus".
This month's Birthday Lunch will be on the 17th at noon and remember that the Belmont will be closed on Monday the 14th for Columbus Day.
WEEKLY HAPPENINGS
Bingo is played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm, $1.50 extra for blackout. Pinochle is played Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1pm, $1.00 + a quarter per set. Sneakers exercise class is held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 11am for $1.50 per class and woodcarvers meet Thursdays at 8:30am. Game Days or Table Trivia is every Friday at 11am.
Hot coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls are served Tuesdays from 8am to 10:30am for just a buck and remember if you need rides to medical appointments, please call (406) 723-7773 at least 24 hours in advance. Rides are available between 9am and 11am, $5 round trip, $3 one way. Shopping excursions are also available for $10 per trip.
