Butte’s Belmont Senior Center offers many activities this August

The Belmont Senior Center in Butte is ready for the dog days of summer with a full slate of events, activities, classes and functions for the Senior population here in Butte.  Of course, the Belmont is a popular place for a weekday lunch or even a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll and August has a lot more to offer, from bingo to exercise, as their August schedule of events will attest.

Having issues with your cellphone, tablet or laptop?  Bring it along for a session of "Tech Tips" coming up this Tuesday at 10:30am.  Another session of "Tech Tips" will roll around on August 20th.

Thursday, August 8th, the Belmont will be offering an AARP Driving Course at 9am.

Wednesday, August 14th will be another session of "Hearing Aid Cleaning with Robin" starting at 10:30am.

Remember, fresh cinnamon rolls and coffee are sold at 10:30am on Tuesdays for just a buck and they are served from 8am to 10:30am

Sneakers Exercise Class is from 10am to 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, cost is $1.50 per class.

Bingo is played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm and Pinochle is played at 1pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Rides to appointments are again available Monday thru Friday from 9am to 11am, please call at least 24 hours in advance.  Cost is $5 round trip, $3 one way and shopping excursions are available for $10 per trip.

The August "Birthday Lunch" will be celebrated on August 15th at noon and the Belmont reminds you that they will be closed on Friday, August 9th for the An Ri Ra Festival.
