Prison Yard Rumble event coming to Deer Lodge
As far as ambiance and aura goes, this one takes that cake, possibly one with a file baked inside. Monty Klistoff, the man behind the immensely popular "Fight Kingdom" series of boxing, kickboxing and MMA events that have rocked the Civic Center over the past several years, along with his crew from NXTGen Entertainment are bringing the show to the Old Montana Prison in Deer Lodge for an exciting fight card on July 13th. One that is eerily steeped in prison tradition.

Food and Blood Donations needed this weekend
As many of us prepare for a Mother's Day filled with breakfast buffets, afternoon brunches and even a special dinner, let's not forget about the less fortunate here in Butte. There are many for whom a lovely brunch is not a possibility. Many families are food insecure and may have nothing to eat at all. The Centerville Volunteer Fire Department's 27th Annual Mother's Day Breakfast highlights a very busy weekend of great food, music, bingo and dancing at Butte Elks Lodge #240 at 206 W. Galena. Mental Health Fair Saturday in Butte
Mother's Day Weekend is always jam-packed at the Butte Civic Center, what with Mayfair happening with KXLF which, of course, is one of the biggest fair and trade shows in Montana. It's an incredible event and something we all look forward to every year. You can count on finding many old friends wandering through the booths of the Civic Center arena and vendors from just about everywhere in Montana, but in the Civic Center annex on Saturday there is something else happening that you need to know about.

New and returning volunteers needed for Folk Fest
Organizers of the Montana Folk Festival are recruiting first-time volunteers for the 2025 event scheduled for July 11, 12 & 13 as well as updating their database for returning volunteers. Coordinator George Everett says that there are many avenues for volunteers to help out in a variety of different capacities.

Butte Central posts busy sports schedule
One of Montana's biggest high school softball tournaments, the annual Laverne Combo Invitational, will bring Butte Central's regular season to a close and highlight a busy week of activity that will also involve the Maroons baseball, track & field and tennis teams.

American Legion Baseball Bingo Nite Friday at KC
The Butte American Legion Baseball program is holding a fundraising Bingo Night on Friday, May 9 at the Knights of Columbus Hall with bingo games getting underway at 6:30pm. Your $25 donation will include 10 bingo games, 3 cards per game along with 10 prize tickets for drawings. All participants must be at least 18 years of age or older to play.
