Mark your calendars, folks! The Butte Chamber's Annual Dinner is back, and it promises to honor some incredible young talent in our community.

You've seen the old train engine sitting off of Harrison Avenue on the south side of the Butte Civic Center. It's been there for so long that it almost goes unnoticed, fenced in behind chain-link and as close to as unassuming as a locomotive engine can be. But when you take a closer look, you not only see Butte history, but the beauty of this industrial behemoth, and when you learn it's story you realize it's significance and why it needs to be restored.

The Butte Chamber of Commerce and Townsquare Media of Butte will be on hand Monday morning for the grand opening and ceremonial ribbon-cutting at Sterling Urgent Care of Butte, 1307 Harrison Avenue. In addition to the ribbon-cutting there will be refreshments, drawings for prizes and tours of the new health care facility here in the Mining City.

Here's a great gift idea that is unique and represents our fair town very well. One that is classy but won't break the bank either. Something that could even be enjoyed by the entire family. It's the new "Butte, America" jigsaw puzzle from nationally renowned folk artist Eric Dowdle.

Shepperd's Candy's in Butte has roots that were planted 70 years ago but its story is goes back well over 100 years.

It looks like they're expecting a party Tuesday evening at the Depot. As we previously announced last week nationally renowned Americana artist Eric Dowdle will be in town for the official unveiling of his "Butte, America" puzzle, the image of which has yet to be revealed. Judging from some of his past work, we are in for a pleasant surprise at tomorrow's unveiling which will begin at 5pm at the Butte Depot with Stephanie Sorini and members of the Butte Chamber of Commerce. Organizers have just announced that local multi-instrumentalist/vocalist John Montoya will be providing music.

One of the fastest and most colorful ways to experience Butte is through one of the Trolley Tours available through the Butte Chamber of Commerce at 1000 E. George Street, just east of Montana St. You will learn about all of the characters and scoundrels, the famous folk and the miners. You'll see where they lived and worked. You will learn all about Butte, what made it grow and how it became one of the great urban centers of the early 1900s. Plus, drivers are selected on their knowledge of Butte history and folklore, and they present it in a very entertaining manner.
