Over the last couple of decades, Butte has gained a nationwide reputation as a "festival city".  And with good reason.  Butte not only regularly hosts such huge events as the Montana Folk Festival and the An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival, but newer undertakings like Matt Boyle's food truck festival last summer and events such as the Butte Rock Festival and Brawls and Kickstart Days.  We have hosted a lot over the years here in Butte and thanks to motivated individuals like Boyle, Bill Fisher at the Depot and Monty Klistoff with Nxt Gen Entertainment, more and more events are being planned and hosted in Butte.  And not just parties and celebrations, but conferences and business meetings too.  The bottom line is all of these functions bring tourists to the Mining City.  And tourists mean dollars into the local economy.
