The full-court asphalt playing surface is perfect for young campers and has a pair of high-quality outdoor field goals and backboards. The court will be named in memory of Sam Todorovich on Wednesday, June 25th at 6:30pm. Supporters are welcome to attend the ceremony at the Kiwanis Sunshine Camp, 270 Passmore Canyon Road.

A summer full of activities, from Summer Day Camp to the Youth Soccer Program and more are planned for the upcoming season at the Butte Family YMCA.

The Butte Family YMCA has set a new date for their annual Country Hoedown fundraiser and this could be one worth kicking up your heels over. The legendary and newly-renovated Butte Depot will be the site of the event on the evening of Thursday, October 24th. You will not want to miss this event.

The Butte Family YMCA has an exciting raffle with a limited number of tickets available offering some incredible prize choices for the winner. Tickets are $100 each, only 200 will be sold and the winner will be drawn at the YMCA Fundraising Dinner on October 24th. Need not be present to win.

Are you a parent looking for a unique day of family fun with your kids where you can possibly get them involved in fun and healthy programs that will last through the summer? Could you use a little bit of fun yourself? Then do we have something for you this Saturday at the Butte Family YMCA as "Healthy Kids Day" will be taking place, and your family is invited.

The Butte Family YMCA is wrapping up their registration for a youth volleyball league this Friday, March 8th. This league is open to boys and girls in the 1st through 4th grades, is scheduled for an 8-week season and, as is typical with YMCA programs, will teach much more than the fundamentals of the game.

The nominations have been received and reviewed and a distinguished Uptown business has been selected to serve as the Grand Marshal to be honored to help turn on the lights during the tree lighting ceremony at the Courthouse Rotunda and lead the Children's Light Parade.

The Outdoor Summer Classic will be played August 9th and 10th at the Butte Family YMCA at 2975 Washoe and is open to kids entering pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. The tournament will be grouped into age divisions and groupings will be dependent upon the number of entries. Interested teams are to be of the same grade, although younger players will be allowed to play on older teams. Just not the other way around. Teams can consist of boys and girls from the same grade level. Teams are guaranteed at least three games each and the games will be played to either 15 points or 20 minutes, whatever comes first. Each court will have an official monitor and a set of tournament rules will be given to each team upon registration. Teams will be limited to 4 players per team, every player will receive a tournament t-shirt and awards will be given out to the winners of each division.
