We're not going to lie.  While being an exceptional program, one that finished last season ranked in the Top Ten of NAIA football programs nationally, the Montana Tech Orediggers are still not known for producing very many NFL players.  It's not a knock on the program.  The Diggs are good at what they do.  Very good.  Ask anyone in the Frontier Conference.  It's just that the Frontier is a few steps below programs like Alabama and Michigan, both huge programs in the biggest division.

While it would be amazing to see a former Oredigger playing on Sundays, what is happening now with a former player in a different arena might be even more amazing.  There's a former Oredigger who is tearing it up right now.  Not on the gridiron but on the Country charts.  He is touring now and most recently played two of the biggest venues in the state, Headwaters Country Jam and then the Montana State Fair in Great Falls.  Does any of this sound familiar to you?  Here's his picture and bio from his freshman season at Montana Tech.

Pretty obvious this guy was a heckuva pickup for the 'Diggers football program but who would have guessed that after a career-ending injury very early in his football career he would go on to the Country Top Ten with a song called "Wind Up Missing You" and another on the way with "3, 2, 1".  Do you know who it is yet?

Well, the "T" in his logo is for Tucker and the "W" stands for Wetmore.  If you are still unfamiliar with this young man, you won't be for long.  Here's his latest single that is soaring up the charts.
