After wrapping up an incredibly hectic District 12C boys and girls basketball tournament last weekend, the Maroon Activities Center in Butte will be rocking again this Thursday, Friday and Saturday as the Western C Divisional comes to town.  There will be brackets again for both boys and girls with the top two from each heading to the State Tournament in 2 weeks at Rimrock Arena in Billings.

Let's take a look at the first-round scheduling.  On the boys' side, West Yellowstone will take on Charlo/Superior at 9:30 followed by Drummond vs. Harrison/Willow Creek at 11am.  The evening session will see St. Regis vs. Lone Peak at 3:30 followed by Darby vs. Manhattan Chrisian at 5pm.  The Manhattan Christian Eagles are the defending State Champions and also won last weekend's District 12C tournament.  Of local interest, the Harrison/Willow Creek Wildcats are coached by Zach Murphy, a member of Butte Central's 1992 State Championship squad.

On the girls' side of things, Twin Bridges will face Charlo/St. Regis in the first game of the girls' session at 12;30 followed by Seeley-Swan vs. Ennis at 2pm.  In the nightcap, Superior faces Lone Peak at 6:30 and Manhattan Christian gets Drummond/Phillipsburg at 8pm.  The Manhattan Christian girls are also winners of last weekend's District 12C tournament.

The Divisionals are really when the action heats up and with the increased level of competition comes bigger crowds so be sure to arrive in time when your favorite team is playing and give yourself plenty of time to get to the arena as parking will be tight again this go-round.  Tickets are available at the door and a live stream will be available from the NFHS network.
