Get Ready for the Butte Civic Center’s annual Holiday Bazaar
One event here in the Mining City that we've seen grow by leaps and bounds over the past several years or so is the annual Winter Bazaar and Trade Show at the Butte Civic Center. Every year the list of vendors, products and services continues to get bigger, and organizers are hoping that 2024's event will be the biggest one yet.
One reason that this event keeps getting bigger and better is the reasoning that Civic Center General Manager Bill Melvin uses when selling booth space. Melvin has kept booth rental prices affordable, which means that small Mom and Pop merchants can work alongside bigger retailers offering Holiday shoppers a huge variety of goods and services. Everything from small construction contractors to electronics and, of course, a menagerie of holiday treats and decorations have been part of years past. Much more as well. This means big crowds are expected again for both days of this year's event.
This year's Winter Bazaar and Trade Show is set for Saturday and Sunday, November 23rd and 24th and admission is again free to the public. The timing is again favorable as it is right before the official start of the Christmas shopping season and frenzied Black Friday mobs. Plus, a lion's share of these vendors are small Southwest Montana businesses who are often overlooked by shoppers focusing on the big box stores. It is also conceivable that you could get all of your Christmas gifts for the season right then and there.
