The Butte Central Maroons boys and girls basketball teams will wrap up their respective regular season tonight with a varsity doubleheader at B.W. Lodge Gymnasium in Dillon, Montana against the Beaverhead County High School Beavers.  While a Butte Central/Dillon contest is rarely one to miss, tonight's pairing will have playoff seeding implications for the boys while the girls postseason has been and their upcoming playoff game already set.

MAROONS AT BEAVERS - BOYS, 6PM

The Beavers are the defending state champions and have been in even better form than last year at this time.  The Beavers are 16-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of the Class AA Butte High Bulldogs.  Dillon has locked up the #1 seed out of the Southwest for the upcoming Western A Divisional Tournament in Whitefish with their first round opponent dependent on the upcoming series of Northwestern A play-in games.  Butte Central, however, is tied for second place with the Frenchtown Broncs, both with 6-3 conference records.  BC and Frenchtown split the regular season with the Broncs owning the tiebreaker should both teams win or lose tonight.  Frenchtown will be hosting Hamilton tonight in their regular season finale.  If the Maroons beat the Beavers and Hamilton beats Frenchtown, Butte Central will take the #2 seed into the Western A Divisional.  Dillon beat Butte Central 52-41 on January 30th at the Maroon Activities Center.

MAROONS AT BEAVERS - GIRLS, 7:30PM

There is less at stake on the girls side with Butte Central having locked up the #5 seed and their play-in game against Stevensville already set for Thursday evening at the Maroon Activities Center.  Not to say there is nothing to play for here.  Coach Quinn Carter would like nothing more than to go into Thursday's contest coming off a win and to avenge January 30th's 55-31 loss to Dillon at the MAC.
