October brings many special activities as well as weekly events at Butte's Belmont Senior Citizens Center at 615 E Mercury Street, just up from the Berkeley Pit Viewing Stand on Shields Avenue.  Let's take a look at what's happening.

WEEKLY HAPPENINGS

  • Bingo is played every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm.  $1.50 extra for blackout.
  • Pinochle is played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1pm to 3:45pm.  Cost is $1 plus 25 cents per set,
  • FOOT CLINIC - Available by appointment.  Call 782-8668 to schedule.  Cost is $15, payable to Peggy Dean
  • Sneakers Exercise Class - Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 11am, $1.50 per class.
  • Wood Carvers Class - Every Thursday at 8:30am
  • Every Tuesday enjoy a fresh cinnamon roll and coffee for only a dollar from 8am until 10:30am.
  • Rides to medical appointments and shopping trips are available, please give at least 24 hours notice.
  • OCTOBER EVENTS

    • Wednesday, October 8th, the Belmont will host a Flu, Covid and Pneumonia Clinic starting at 10am.  Pre authorization is needed for any other vaccination.  Please call the Safeway Pharmacy on Massachusetts for information, (406) 494-3474.
    • Changing Seasons Grief Support Group presented by Honeybee Hospice and Axelson's Cremation is Thursday, October 16th at 1pm.
    • October's Birthday Lunch will take place on Thursday, October 18th at noon.
    • The Belmont Senior Center will be closed on Monday, October 13th for Columbus Day.
    • Hearing Aid Clinic with Robin - Wednesday, October 15th at 10:30am
    • AARP Driving Course - Thursday, October 9th at 9am.
    • Tech Nurses will be on hand at 10am on October 22nd and October 29th.
    • Craft Circle with Lorisa - Tuesday, October 14th and Tuesday, October 28th at 10:30am.
    • Movie Day - October 21st at 10am.
