Sports cards have been a big part of growing up for decades.  It's Americana at its finest.  From the dawn of the game itself, trading cards have been a great way to stay current on professional players and statistics and a fun way to complete season sets or just your favorite team.  At one point it was also a great way to get a stick of bubble gum although those days are long gone.

Trading cards and collectibles are not limited to just baseball, football, basketball and hockey fans.  I remember way back in the 1980s, movie cards were very popular with my friends and I collecting Star Wars cards and even Garbage Pail Kids cards.  Remember those?  These days, Pokemon cards rival traditional sports cards in terms of popularity, some becoming quite valuable.

Are you a seasoned collector or someone who just enjoys cards and memorabilia?  There is a show this Thursday that you need to know about.  It's Trade Nite at the Butte Elks Lodge #240 at 206 W. Galena Street and it promises a ton of cards and memorabilia for experts and newbies alike.  The event is going on from 4pm until 10pm and is being put on by Bozeman Sports Cards and will bring collectors from all across Southwest Montana to connect, trade,  and talk all things cards.  Bring your cards and memorabilia and see if there is a hidden gem in your collection.  Looking for a cornerstone piece to your collection?  This is your place.

For details on Trade Nite or any of the other fun events happening at the Butte Elks, just call (406) 783-3278.
