The Butte Central boys and girls basketball teams find themselves in different situations as the 2023-24 regular season has come to a close.  Here is what both programs have on tap as we head into the postseason.

Maroon boys get automatic berth in Divisional Tournament

After manhandling Corvallis on Saturday, the boys finish their season with a 15-3 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the Southwestern A conference.  This will give them the #2 seed out of the Southwest in the Western A Divisional Tournament which will be played in the Butte Civic Center February 22nd through the 24th.  They will play the third seed out of the Northwestern A conference at 3:30pm Thursday the 22nd.

Girls host Stevensville in play-in game #1 on Thursday

The Butte Central girls finish the regular season in 5th place in conference standings and will host the Stevensville Yellowjackets in a play-in game Thursday at 6pm at the Maroon Activities Center.  The Maroons beat the Yellowjackets 34-29 in Stevensville on January 6th and completed the regular season sweep at the MAC on January 25, 40-36.  The winner of this contest will advance to Saturday's play-in game #2 at Corvallis.  The winner of that contest will get the 4th seed out of the Southwest in the girls divisional tournament which will be played in conjunction with the boys February 22nd through the 24th at the Butte Civic Center.

Boys Froshmore and JV games added at Park High

Junior Varsity and Froshmore games have been added for Friday, February 16th.  The JVs will tipoff at 4:30pm followed by the frosh at 6pm.  Both games will be played at Park High School gymnasium in Livingston.
