After giving Missoula Sentinel their first loss of the season, the Butte High Boys Basketball team is chomping at the bit to get back on the floor and after a hot start, the Bulldog girls are taking on all-comers.  They'll get their chance this Friday and Saturday evenings at the Butte Civic Center as teams from the Flathead Valley come to town.

Friday it's the Glacier Wolfpack with the boys tipping things off at 5pm.  Flathead comes into the contest at 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the Western AA.  They are riding a 2-game winning streak, topping Helena High 70-66 in double-overtime to wrap up their nonconference schedule last Saturday and then getting past Missoula Big Sky 50-44 Tuesday in their Western AA opener.  Butte High comes into the game at 3-3 overall, 1-1 in Western AA play.  The Wolfpack girls are 2-5 overall and have dropped their last 4 including last Tuesday's Western AA opener, 48-26 against Missoula Big Sky.  The Butte High girls are 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Western AA.

Saturday it's the Flathead Braves coming to town and again the boys will start things out, this time at 4:30pm.  The Flathead boys started the season 0-4 before picking up their lone win of the year last Friday against Helena High, 56-48.  The following night they were dumped by the Helena Capital Bruins 61-52 and go into their Western AA opener Friday against Missoula Big Sky at 1-5 overall.  The Bravettes, after a hot start to the season, dropped a pair of games last week in Helena, 43-24 to Helena High and 45-20 to Helena Capital.  The Bravettes are 3-3 overall and also have their conference opener Friday at Missoula Big Sky.
