Saturday night the Covellite Theater on Broadway in Uptown Butte is going to be swinging with a trio of impressive Americana/Folk/Bluegrass bands taking the main stage.  Here are artists descriptions thanks to the Covellite.

THE TIMBER RATTLERS

Energetic MONTANA bluegrass band from Missoula, MT.  They pull inspiration from their traditional roots, but continue to push their boundaries in the realm of acoustic music. Each member has spent extensive time touring and in the studio from the west coast to parts of Europe.

SPRUCE ALLEY SALLY

Spruce Alley Sally is an engaging and energetic five-piece ensemble hailing from Missoula, Montana. Their music reflects a deep appreciation of bluegrass while infusing it with a delightful touch of folk and swing, creating a unique and captivating sound that resonates with audiences far and wide. SAS covers a range of traditional Appalachian and Americana tunes, and original music about the mountain west.
Assembled on short-notice for a tattoo parlor grand opening in 2023, Spruce Alley Sally has continued playing together around Montana and Idaho. Geoff Taylor on fiddle, Sally Thompson on banjo, Caleb Mattis on bass, Donny Perret on mandolin, and Justin McHeffey on guitar.

REDD AND THE PAPER FLOWERS

Redd Daugherty began as a solo artist during the 2020 pandemic, while teaching high school English at L&N STEM Academy in Knoxville, TN. During this time, she appeared on Season 19 of American Idol; released her first, solo album Monsters & Mothers; quit teaching to pursue music full time; and began working alongside her mentor and close friend, Adam Ivy.

Redd met members Gavin GreggKatie Adams, and Colleen d'Alelio through friends and at open mics. The group quickly realized they had similar goals and began making and playing music together almost immediately. Founding members of the band Redd and Gavin, recognize and owe initial success to former bassist Will Ross.

Tickets are $15 at the door.  For complete details, check out the Covellite's website.
