Dillon JC’s Demolition Derby & Summer Kick-Off Concert Coming Up
The Dillon Jaycees are gearing up for a big weekend ahead.
The Dillon Jaycees are a group that loves the community of Dillon and sponsor several projects throughout the year. One of those annual events is the Dillon Jaycees Demolition Derby, and Summer Kick-Off Concert on June 10th.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Dillon Jaycee’s Demo Derby and Summer Kick-off Concert.
The Demolition Derby will be held at the Beaverhead County Fair at 707 S. Argenta St, in Dillon. The Derby is scheduled to start at 12:00 pm. There will be two different derbies, the Stock Derby, and the Herbie Derby. The Stock Class winner will pocket $4000, down to $250 for sixth place. The Herbie winner will take home a cool $1000, with the top four places paying. You can view the rules for the Derby HERE, and buy tickets to watch the Derby HERE.
As I mentioned earlier it is not only the Demo Derby, but it is also the Summer Kick-Off Concert. Once the Demo Derby is cleared, multi-platinum-selling rock band Hinder will take over for the night.
Out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hinder was formed in 2001. Their first studio album “Extreme Behavior” hit shelves in 2005. Their first single ‘Get Stoned’ brought the band some spotlight, but their second single is what launched them into the stratosphere. “Lips of an Angel” was released in April of 2006, it raced to the top of the charts and pushed the album to triple-platinum status.
Hinder has played to massive crowds all over the world, and they will make a big splash in Dillon, Saturday, June 10th. You can find ticket information HERE.
Also, make sure to take a look at the Dillon Jaycees website, it has a full listing of all of their events, and also it shows ways that you can volunteer and help out with the great work they do.
See you in Dillon.
