John Montoya Friday Night, BHS Speech & Debate Bingo Saturday at Butte Elks

Get out your dancing shoes for music on Friday night and get those bingo markers ready for a very worthy fundraiser on Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Butte.

MUSIC WITH JOHN MONTOYA FRIDAY NIGHT

Let's start with Friday night.  John Montoya will be performing starting at 8pm and if you've not yet seen John play, you're going to be impressed.  John seamlessly meshes rock, country, 70s, you name the style, and he does it as a one-man band.  But you'd never know it's just one guy just from listening.  Check him out and bring your friends because there is plenty of seating in the Elks Hall and their beverages are always very reasonably priced.

"TALKING DAWGS" BINGO FUNDRAISER SATURDAY

Saturday is a bingo fundraiser for Butte High School's Speech & Debate team, the "BHS Talking Dawgs".  Sure the State Speech & Debate Meet was a few weeks ago, but that by no means is an end to their season.  The National Competition is in Des Moines, Iowa this June and the Talking Dawgs have every intention of being there, but there are a great deal of expenses that must be covered, like transportation, food and hotel accommodations.  You can help by showing up and playing a couple of games or, if you are part of a local business or organization that may have some items you could donate as prizes, your support would be greatly appreciated.  The doors will open at 5pm and the first bingo ball will drop at 6.  In addition to the bingo games, there will be a Dutch auction, a silent auction, a 50/50 and concessions available for purchase.
