Tomorrow's Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte's "Rhythm and Brews" Festival is going to be a good one.  Things get underway at the Original Mineyard with the car show with registration at 10am.  Gates open at noon with food trucks, beverages, kids' activities and lots of fun.  Music will fire up at 1pm on the big stage.  Let's take a look at this year's performers.

JOHN MONTOYA, 1PM - 2:30PM

John Montoya practically invented what we know as the "one man show" here in Butte.  With all due respect to the great Luigi, John's set is a little more contemporary.  You'll enjoy classic hits from all eras done with John's unique style that includes not only his incredible vocal range and superb guitar playing but also takes care of the percussion parts...with his feet.  It's impressive.  John's set will run from 1pm to 2:30.

THE BERKELEY PITS, 2:30 - 4PM

You're going to love The Berkeley Pits.  With John Stenson on guitar and Mark LaFond taking care of the beats, their voices and their personalities work very well together.  Separately, they've been important members of some of Butte's biggest bands over the past 30 years like Outlaw, Uncle Mary, Chain City and they are members of King Friday today.  As a duo, they are no less impressive.  They play country, rock, a little bit of hip hop and whatever else you can throw at them.  The Berkeley Pits will play from 2:30 to 4pm.

HIGH ORE ROAD, 4PM - 6PM

High Ore Road is Pete Heidt on vocals and lead guitar, C.D. Holter on guitar and vocals, Tom O'Neill on bass and vocals with Tom Billteen as the drummer/eye candy. High Ore Road plays a variety of music ranging from the 50s and 60s to classic rock and 80s hits with a few country tunes and one questionable surf song thrown in for good measure. High Ore Road is on from 4 to 6pm.

F.O.G. is closing out this year's show and with good reason.  This veteran group plays it all and they play it very well.  Toby Schelin is up front on guitar alongside fellow guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Dennis Weis and bassist Mark James.  Gary Robinson rounds out the quartet and all four members sing.  F.O.G. will start at 6pm.

A special thank you from all of the other bands and from Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte goes out to F.O.G for the generous use of their sound system for this event and for manning the board for the entire day.  These guys give up their weekend, their gear and their labor for this event and their actions, as well as their incredible friendship, are immeasurable.
