Musical Lineup has been set for BBBS-Butte “Rhythm and Brews” festival
As far as local charitable organizations go, you won't find any better than Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte and when it comes to local car shows and concerts along with a few of the area's best food trucks and a trailer full of ice-cold beverages, well, you're not going to top Rhythm and Brews. It only stands to reason that this year's event is going to be one of the best in its' short history as the date has been set, the Original Mineyard has been reserved and now the musical lineup has been announced.
Saturday, August 17th will be the date, the gates will open at noon and the first band will fire up at 1pm. Leading things off will be local ensemble Hesitation, led by Russell Nelson and consisting heavily of members of Butte Central's incredible pep band, from 1 until 2:30pm. The supremely talented John Montoya will bring his one-man show to the stage from 2:30 until 4pm followed by False Fiction, a youthful quintet who just released their first single, from 4 to 6pm. Closing out the show will be Butte's High Ore Road who are scheduled from 6 to 8.
Come early as admission is free and there will be dozens of classic cars and trucks competing for some cool prizes along with some of the area's best food trucks serving up tasty treats. If you want to be a part of the car show, registration starts at 10am. Of course, the "brews" part of "Rhythm and Brews" will come in the form of some of the areas finest microbrews along with a selection of domestics. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte will also have a silent auction for some fantastic prize baskets as well as a 50/50 drawing.
