Well, after months of anticipation the big weekend of the Montana Folk Festival is finally here and Butte, America is ready to play the role of host once again.  We've taken a look at the spectacular array of artists and performers from all kinds of different styles and cultures and now we need to take a look at the things we need to remember to do ourselves during the Montana Folk Festival

Days at the Montana Folk Festival are hot and long and with stages spread out throughout the Uptown area there is a lot of walking involved so remember to show up hydrated and to bring along a water bottle.

DO remember to bring a donation for the Bucket Brigade

Although the Montana Folk Festival is a free event, the level of talent is world-class and bringing in this caliber of entertainers is still very expensive.  Help keep it free by dropping in a twenty or so when you see the volunteers who are collecting funds.

DON'T bring your pets

We know you love your furry companion and even though he or she may be well-behaved and even may love music, the festival is no place for them.  The crowds and loud noises can be very stressful on pets and the best place for them is at home.

DON'T over imbibe

While hydration is important and many of us love a few cocktails and dancing, nobody likes the dancer who's flailing into other people or the loud one who's trying to shout over the music.  Celebrate responsibly and if you have been drinking, do not drive home.
