Big time Broadway with a twist of satire is coming to Butte's Mother Lode Theater this Friday evening as Forbidden Broadway takes center stage bringing lights, music and laughter to the Mining City.

Forbidden Broadway is a satirical roast of over 30 Broadway hits, from FROZEN to PHANTOM to WICKED and is all new with outrageous costumes, hysterical spoofs of the songs you have grown to know by heart and a stellar cast doing madcap impressions that will make you look twice.  Forbidden Broadway is ever-changing and has been keeping audiences in stitches for over 35 years poking fun at your favorite productions from stages on and in the Big Apple itself to theaters in cities and towns all across North America and around the globe.  This new edition will feature a talented quintet of "comic chameleons throwing out pointed parodies at a dizzying pace."  The new spoofs include impressions of HAMILTON, Eddi Redmayne in CABARET, the film version of WICKED, Sondheim's OLD FRIENDS and many more.

Forbidden Broadway is perfect for seasoned theater-goers to newcomers alike having received a Special Tony Award, and Obie Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award for Best Off Broadway Musical.  The New York Times made Forbidden Broadway a "Critics Pick" calling it "the Best Edition of Forbidden Broadway in recent memory."

Forbidden Broadway premieres at the Mother Lode Theater in Butte this Friday, December 5th at 7pm.  Tickets are available at the Mother Lode Theater Box Office at 314 W. Park Street.  Doors open at 6pm on the date of the performance.
