Butte is known statewide for being a great tournament host, particularly for basketball.  Our facilities are top notch, the fans turn out in droves and the workers are some of the best in the state.  Even though we are in the middle of football season, there is a very big basketball tournament coming to town here in a few weeks, one that could definitely use your support as a fan, a worker or even a donor.

Special Olympics Montana is bringing their State Basketball Tournament to Butte November 13th and 14th with a big opening ceremony on November 12th at the Butte  Civic Center.  Throughout the event there are several ways that you can get involved be it as a fan, a volunteer worker or a donor.

The tournament will take place in gyms across town and the public is invited to attend each and every one of them free of charge.  The games will be 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 and for those of you interested in doing more than just cheering from the stands, there are many volunteer opportunities available over the three days.  In fact, over 1,000 volunteers will be needed over the course of the tournament.  Organizers note that shifts can be as short as 3 hours, but anyone who wants to volunteer their time for the full three days will certainly not be turned away.  Click here to volunteer for the basketball tournament or at any of their other events.

If you are unable to attend or volunteer, consider making a donation to this incredible Montana organization.
