From Books to Chocolate, Wine & Cheese in One Day; Ode to a Local Library
"Chocolate, Wine, & Cheese; Oh My!! No one can keep "quiet" about the trio of goods expected this year at the Hearst Free Library in Anaconda on Saturday, February 11th. It's known simply as that... Chocolate, Wine & Cheese Tasting of 2023! For years, Friends of the Library have enamored guests with handmade chocolate treats and great wines and cheeses from around the globe. Plus, making the wine list this year is The Bighorn Bottle Shop which opened last November in Anaconda. Their selection of wines can be pre-ordered at discounted rates when you attend Saturday's event. (continued...)
Tickets to the Hearst Free Library's Chocolate, Wine & Cheese Tasting are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. No online ticket sales are available. Instead, tickets can be purchased in person at the library in Anaconda (401 Main Street) or on the day of the event via cash or check. This blast of an event runs from 2 pm to 4 pm on the 2nd floor of the library, so that way, you won't have to whisper the entire time you're there or have someone tell you to "shush"! Also, as part of the fun, they'll have a 50/50 drawing, a raffle, and door prizes. (see more about this sweet event below)
This annual event is strategically planned around Valentine's Day, so guys and gals, take the time to corner your partner for two hours of fun premised around chocolate, wine, and cheese. Twist my arm, am I right? Friends of the Library host other fundraisers each year, including their Spring and Summer Book Fair and the Reading the Green Golf Tournament in September. For more information about the Hearst Free Library and its upcoming event this Saturday, February 11th, call (406) 563-6932. In the meantime, prepare your appetite for the best chocolate, wine, and cheese.
