Get Ready, Anaconda’s Art In Washoe Park Is Fast Approaching
One of the largest and best shows in Montana, Art in Washoe Park, returns July 21st through the 23rd.
This is one of those events that everyone in Southwest Montana has circled on the calendar. It is truly an all-ages event, and there is something for everyone. From handmade goods and varied ethnic foods, to live music throughout the weekend, this is just a ‘must-do’ event.
The work that is put into this event every year is pretty staggering. There are over 80 vendors selling everything you can imagine, from custom art to woodwork of all kinds, metal fabrication, jewelry, custom-made clothing, knitting, and so much more.
The thing I love about Art in the Park is that the vendor spots aren’t guaranteed. By that I mean, if you want to come set up and sell you aren’t automatically given the space. You have to present your wares to a panel that decides if it is right for the event. So you had better be good at what you do, AND you had better be a bit different than the rest as well. That is really one of the things that set Art in Washoe Park apart from other events.
I know that this next part is going to be a real shock. Prepare yourself.
I also love the food at Art in the Park.
I’m pretty sure it was the first time that I discovered the beauty and grandeur of a turkey leg. The world has been a much better place since that day.
The other facet of Art in Washoe Park is the music. Grab your lawn chairs, and head over for tremendous performers. There will be live music from 10 am – 9 pm Friday and Saturday, and 10 am – 5 pm Sunday.
Art in Washoe Park will be held Friday, July 21st – Sunday, July 23rd at Washoe Park in Anaconda. You can get your advanced tickets at the Copper Village Museum, or at the gate.
