Good news for those here in Butte craving a hearty gyro, big salads or even crispy baklava.  The Gyros Wagon which we learned last week was set to open, has set Wednesday, May 15 as their official opening day.  And as we learned at a test-opening earlier today, these guys are ready to roll, and they mean business.  Delicious business.

"I'm excited," said Brian Hendrickson who will be helping lead a familiar team into new ventures.  Gyros Wagon is located in the old Quizno's location and Hendrickson told us that they are retaining the old Quizno's crew and are looking forward to serving hungry customers in the Mining City, many of whom are familiar with Gyros Wagon's quality and value from their Dillon location where they have become a Beaverhead County favorite.  "A lot of people in Butte that I've talkied with said "oh, they're opening up in Butte?  That's great!", Hendrickson told us.  "So, we've got a lot of buzz going on about our product."

In addition to classic beef or chicken gyros, Gyros Wagon offers several different, local twists on the traditional Greek favorite including the "Cowboy Gyro" which combines beef and chicken and adds barbecue sauce.  Gyros wagon also offers a variety of popular sides and toppings that you can add to your gyro to create your own, unique meal.  They also offer a selection of hearty salads that can be customized to your liking as well.

I had one of their traditional beef gyros today and I think you are going to be impressed at the size and quality of the food you're going to get.  You can try them for yourself as they will be open Wednesday morning at 11am for lunch.  Welcome to Butte, Gyros Wagon!
