Here’s a look at this week’s Butte High and Butte Central activities
Let's take a look at what fans of high school sports have in store for them this week.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5: Butte High volleyball is at home against Missoula Hellgate. The Purple Frosh team and Sophomores both play at 4pm with the White Frosh and JVs getting underway at 5:30. The varsity match begins at 7pm. The Bulldog Cross Country team will be at Helena's 7 on 7 meet which starts at noon. Butte Central Cross Country will also be competing. Both Butte High boys and girls soccer teams are in action against Missoula Hellgate. JV boys and girls both play at 1pm at the Jeremy Bullock Memorial soccer complex at Margaret Leary Elementary. The varsity matches are at Bulldog Memorial Stadium with the girls at 3:30pm and the boys to follow at 5:30.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6: The third-ranked Butte High football team is home and will be celebrating Silver B's night while looking to improve on their 5-1 mark with a contest against Missoula Hellgate. The varsity game is at Naranche Stadium and is scheduled for 7:30pm with the sub varsity game earlier in the day at 3pm. The Butte Central Maroons football team, still in search of their first win of the season, travel to Bozeman and Bobcat Stadium on the MSU campus for a nonconference tussle against the Park High Rangers of Livingston. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7: The Butte High soccer teams and volleyball program head to the Garden City taking on the Missoula Sentinel Spartans. In soccer, the JV boys and girls varsity games will be at 10am with the JV girls and boys' varsity contests to follow at noon. On the volleyball side, the Purple Frosh and Sophomores will play at 10am, the White Frosh and JVs at 11:30am and the varsity game is at 1pm. Butte Central volleyball is at home to take on Frenchtown at the Maroon Activities Center. The Froshmores play at 1pm, the JVs at 2:30 and the varsity at 4pm.
