And just like that, Halloween has come and gone and we find ourselves (whether we're ready or not) for the Holiday Season which is fast approaching.  For years now, the days after Halloween has meant that here at Townsquare Media we start preparing for perhaps our most important station event of the year, the Harrington Pepsi/Butte Cares clothing drive.  Somehow, each year this event seems to grow.  While we love a big event, this also says a lot about poverty in Butte and Southwest Montana and the amount of need that we have in our communities.  It is about this time each year that we start fielding questions about where the distribution will be taking place and when people can start showing up.  But on the other hand, we have also been getting many phone calls from people asking when and where they can make their donations.

Before we get into the dates, please thank our friends and partners at Harrington Pepsi, Butte Cares and a new business to town, Ziply Fiber.  These are the people that make this event happen.  And we're all going to be busy over the weekend as we prepare for the flood of donations.  We're hoping by Monday to have collection boxes up in Butte at Walmart, Ace Hardware, the Butte Chamber of Commerce, Denny Menholt Ford, Steele's Warehouse, Three Bears Alaska and in Anaconda a Dee Motors.  We also have a new distribution site this year, the Butte Plaza Mall Events Center on Saturday, December 2 from 10am to 1pm where, in addition to all of the clothing donations, we will be serving free hot dogs, chili and coffee compliments of CCCS, Inc.

So, get gathering!  We again are asking for clean, gently-worn coats, hats and gloves along with blankets and boots.  We are again this year in particular need of items for infants and children.  Please look through your drawers, closets and storage and we'll be ready for your donations on Monday.
