Butte High junior guard Hudson Luedtke led all scorers and a furious Bulldog 4th quarter charge, netting 18 points and eclipsing the 1,000-point career scoring mark in the process as the Bulldogs beat Missoula Big Sky 51-44 Friday night at the Butte Civic Center.  Senior forward Dylan "Bobby" Bache was not far behind with 17 points to join Luedtke in double-figures for the Bulldogs who improve to 7-3 overall with a 3-2 mark in the Western AA.

Luedkte got his milestone bucket early in the 4th quarter on a 15-foot pullup jump shot while doing the rest of his damage from behind the arc and at the free-throw line.  Luedtke becomes only the second Bulldog in boys basketball history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark, joining the great John Dawson in the exclusive fraternity.  Dawson was a star guard for the Bulldogs from 1966 to 1968 and is the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,022 career points.  Luedke celebrated with his parents, coaches, family and fans after the game.

Needing only 20 points to become the top scorer in Butte High history, Luedtke could realistically accomplish the feat this Thursday when the Bulldogs host the Helena High Bengals at 7pm at Ross Richardson Gymnasium.
