One of Butte's most popular and talented singer/songwriters will be part of an incredible "songwriters in the round" performance this weekend at one of Butte's best venues for live music and concerts.  Local favorite Chad Okrusch will be joined by fellow Montana songwriters Lee Calvin and Jarret Kostrba this Saturday at the Covellite Theater for "Montana Roots: Americana Songwriters Showcase".  Here is a description of the artists from a press release:

Lee Calvin has been a songwriter for over 15 years. After shedding the martyrdom of being a "true artist", he has vowed that this time around nobody would take him too seriously, including himself. Lee writes music that is heartfelt and lyrically driven. He has fronted the popular Billings country band, Calvin and the Coal Cars for 5 years. He's an amazing storyteller and uses his music to connect with audiences of all ages.

Jarret Kostrba is a talented instrumentalist and songwriter hailing from Red Lodge, Montana. His music spans genres including rock, jazz, and indie-folk. His songwriting gifts are matched by his vocal talents and unmatched mastery of stringed instruments. If you dig some of the new sounds coming out of the Indie-Folk/Americana scene, you'll love Jarret's music. For the past four years, Jarret has been the frontman of the popular Red Lodge band, Maxwell and the Head Change.

Chad Okrusch is a Butte, Montana-born singer-songwriter whose Americana, indie-folk, and alt-country music reflects the rugged beauty and rich heritage of his home state. Rooted in the hard-working mining town of Butte, his songs blend heartfelt storytelling with a soulful authenticity that resonates with audiences across the West. Chad has shared stages with renowned artists like Robert Earl Keen and Blake Shelton, performing at notable venues and festivals. Beyond his music, he is a professor, poet, and author, deeply connected to Montana's culture and community.

Tickets are available in advance for $10 at covellite presents.org, or for $15 at the door on Saturday.  Gates open at 7pm and showtime is 7:30pm.
