Thursday was a big day for all things basketball at Montana Tech as the NAIA held their selection show for the men's and women's national tournament and both the men and the women will be bringing the copper, green and white to the big dance.

The Oredigger men (24-6), winners of 4 straight Frontier Conference regular season and tournament titles, will be heading to Santa Clarita, California as a #6 seed, where they will meet Southern Oregon, an at-large bid out of the Cascade Conference, seeded #11. The teams will play on Friday, March 14th in a four-team pod hosted by #3 seed The Masters who will be playing #14 Dakota Wesleyan.  The winner of the pod will advance to the final tournament site.  Montana Tech is the only Frontier Conference team in the men's tournament.

On the women's side, Montana Tech will be heading to the tournament for the first time in 15 years.  The Orediggers got an at-large bid and will be heading to Madison, South Dakota as a #13 seed, taking on host and #4 seed Dakota State, also on Friday, March 14th.  Making up the other half of the pod will be #5 Governors State and #12 Arizona Christian.  Gametimes are to be determined.  Joining Montana Tech in the 64-team tournament field are fellow Frontier Conference members Providence, Rocky Mountain College and Carroll College.
