“Paint the Town Purple” this April in support of Alzheimer’s Care and Research
Painting the town purple is nothing new here in Butte, Montana, but this April, the Alzheimer's Association of Southwest Montana is asking you and your business to "turn purple" and take part in raising awareness, research and care funding and conversation about this dreaded disease. A diseases that has touched nearly every Southwest Montana family in one way or another.
Purple is the official color of the Alzheimer's movement, representing strength, courage and the unwavering commitment to fighting the disease. Local businesses are asked to decorate their storefronts in purple, to host a small fundraiser or to allow volunteers to paint a purple-themed window for them for a small donation. These actions will spark conversation and awareness and bring a powerful visual message while raising vital funds that support the fight to end Alzheimer's as well as providing care and support for families.
Consider decorating your storefront in purple with ribbons, signage and lighting in support or consider making a donation to have volunteers come over and decorate your area for you. Participating businesses will be eligible for some fantastic prizes and will also have the chance to be featured in supporting stories and coverage on social media sites. If you would like to participate you must sign up by April 12th and if you would like to have volunteers arrive the earlier you sign up the better.
To sign up, hire a volunteer crew or get further information, please contact Hailey Crawford at haileycrawford1@gmail.com or by calling or texting (406) 491-0360, or Heather Bassett at (4406) 431-6342. Any and all donations are voluntary and fully tax deductible through the Alzheimer's Association.
