Butte High, Central baseball highlights a busy upcoming week
Saturday will see the Butte High Bulldogs and Butte Central Maroons face each other in baseball highlighting a busy week for both schools. Here's a look at what the Bulldogs and Maroons have on their collective sports schedules for this week:
Eddi Walker, a local hero, could use a helping hand of her own.
Now let's talk about Eddi as a blood donor. Vitalent tells us that to date, Eddi has donated an astonishing 238 times. And it is in her honor that on Monday, May 20th from 12pm to 3pm, Vitalent will be hosting a citywide blood drive at the Maroon Activities Center at 550 E. Seven more artists announced for Montana Folk Festival 2024
Organizers have announced the second wave of performers coming to the Montana Folk Festival in Butte, Montana this July 12-14. “It’s shaping up to be a strong lineup for this July's Montana Folk Festival packed with master musicians and dancers” says Festival Director George Everett. "You can expect to find plenty that's familiar but also to be amazed at the variety and diversity of the event."
Road Construction Project to Begin in Dillon Area
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner, L&J Construction Group LLC, anticipate improving North Interchange Road in Dillon beginning mid-April. The work on the half-mile segment will consist of removing and replacing approximately 2 inches of pavement, seal and cover (chip seal), bridge repairs, new guardrail, and new signage and pavement markings.

Food Truck Festival this Saturday in Uptown Butte
This Saturday, East Galena Street in Uptown Butte is going to be hopping once again as local entrepreneur Matt Boyle is putting on the "Munchies Off Main 420 Food Truck Festival" which is set to provide food, entertainment, unique vendors and a lot of fun starting at 11am outside of Collective Elevation at 34 E. Galena. Boyle is no stranger to events, big or small, and this festival will be the third food truck gathering he's hosted since last Spring and this year's gathering will have plenty of treats.
