First of all, how about that Anaconda golf team?  They had a pretty remarkable spring, winning the Class B State Golf Championship, the first golf championship in school history, and bringing the first title from any sport back to the Smelter City since the '71 Cross Country team.  A fine young contingent made up of Tanner Cromwell, Jacob Sawyer, Aiden Tuss, Bradley Wolfe and Kohl Wolfe represented Anaconda well throughout the regular season and State Championships and with a little help they will be representing not only Anaconda but the entire state of Montana at the National Championships.  But they're going to need a little help to get there.

The PGA National High School Golf Tournament will be taking place at PGA National Headquarters in Frisco, TX July 16-18 and the State Champs have earned themselves an invitation.  Who will be their competition?  Simply, the best of the best in the world of high school golf.

"Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor since only the best high school golf teams & individuals will receive invites based on their State Championship performance.  The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states.  Public or private.  Small or large. All high school state championship teams, individuals, and their families have an opportunity to compete in the Invitational."
