Now that Memorial Day Weekend has come and gone along with hopefully this season's snowfall, we are into the unofficial start of summer with event season starting up and outdoor basketball being played already.  Coming up in a couple of weeks is something that fits into both categories nicely and it's one that is growing by, um, leaps and bounds.

Uptown Hoops 2024 is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament being played June 22nd and 23rd at the Original Mineyard in historic Uptown Butte.  In addition to what is going to be an amazing backdrop, Uptown Hoops is paying $500 to the winners of select divisions and is offering games for all ages and skill levels from 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls to adult men's and women's along with co ed and adaptive co ed.   The weekend will also feature some fun skills competitions that will be offering prize money thanks to some generous local sponsors.

Saturday evening will feature the Town Pump Dunk Contest, the Montana Abstract & Title Company Three Point Contest and the McDonald's Lightning Free Throw Contest, each of which will pay $500 to the winner.  The entire weekend is possible again through the generosity of Leskovar Honda and for the kids this year there will be a Fun Zone thanks to TDS Fiber.

The registration deadline is June 5th, and you can get your team signed up right here.  Vendors and volunteers are needed as well, click here for details.  For further information please call (406) 498-5393 or email UptownButteHoops@gmail.com.
