The first Uptown Butte Art Walk of the year is scheduled for this Friday.

The Uptown Butte Art Walk takes place the first Friday of each month, from May to September. The participating businesses host artists and musicians from 5p-8p each of those Friday evenings.

The map for this week’s Uptown Butte Art Walk can be viewed HERE. Each of the businesses have chosen their own artists, and this first walk of the season should be pretty special. Some examples of the art you will see include:

Paintings, printmaking, and beadwork by Stella Nall at the Clark Chateau. Photography by Chad Ball at Headframe Spirits. Sallie Bowen’s Watercolor paintings will be displayed at Feathering your Nest. Paper Cranes Butte will display work from Maria Falbo, “art influenced by movement”, paintings, MT Ranch carved Bison Jewelery.

The Mainstope Gallery presents “Two Guys and their art: The art of Sean Keuch and David A. Johnson” as well as music by Cindi Shaw. The Imagine Butte Resource Center will show “The Sara Mirabdolbaghi Student Art Show” A showcase of Butte High Students work. That is just a handful of the fourteen businesses participating in this Friday's event.

If your business would like to get involved you can reach out to Christine Martin at CMartin@bsb.mt.gov.

If you are an artist that is looking to be a part of the event, you can contact Christine as well, or you can get in touch with an uptown Butte business owner and show your work in their establishment.

The deadline to submit for the June walk is May 26th at noon.

This event runs on volunteer help. If you would like to be a volunteer, there is a volunteer meeting held at the Clark Chateau at 5 pm, the Wednesday before the walk. Volunteers help distribute the monthly maps, and other tasks as needed.

Again you can download the map for the next Uptown Butte Art Walk HERE.

See you uptown this Friday.
