As the wearin' of the green fast approaches, the annual AOH St. Patrick's Day Race in Anaconda comes to mind! As encouraged on the Ancient Order of Hibernians website, you can join in on the fun Saturday, March 11th, either as a die-hard competitor OR as someone who prefers to treat the event as a stroll with old friends and new ones, too! This site will help guide racers to the many choices available for next Saturday's run, so make sure to be aware of your options ahead of the event. The breakdown for the AOH St. Patrick's Day Race is as follows: Packets and t-shirts can be picked up Friday, March 10th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then again on "race day" Saturday, March 11th, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the AOH Hall (321-323 E Commerical, Anaconda). The race will begin at 11:00 a.m., rain or shine. As mentioned above, you can also walk (stroll) during the event. The race is also wheelchair accessible.***Register by March 6th for a guaranteed t-shirt! 

During race day festivities, AOH is also asking friends and family to make a pledge by donating to the Anaconda Food Bank. Interested parties can also make monetary donations on their website (above). So, whether you're Irish or not, the love of the season is spread in good faith to everyone and especially during events such as the St. Patrick's Day Race in Anaconda next Saturday.
