Bert Mooney Airport to host “Wings and Wheels” show on June 10
Coming to Butte's Bert Mooney Airport on Saturday, June 10 is the 3rd annual Wings and Wheels event and in its third year it has grown to an all-day event that features fun and exciting things for car and airplane enthusiasts of all ages. The best part? Admission is free. Come experience all of the great things that Butte's airport has to offer.
From 7:30 to 10:30 Butte's Civil Air Patrol will be hosting a fundraiser pancake breakfast so show up early and bring your appetite. Lunch and snacks will also be available as some of Butte's best food trucks will open from 11 to 3.
There will be aircraft flying in throughout the day including the famous C-47 "Miss Montana" and skydivers. Here's a look at "Miss Montana" in action.
If you plan on flying in they want to make it as affordable as possible. Airplane fuel will be available at Butte Aviation for two-bits over cost. Don't have an airplane but still want to experience flying? There will be flight simulators on site to check out plus the opportunity to tour the airport and view the many displays that will be up.
This show is not all about airplanes, however. The butteauto.com car show will be going on as well with no registration fee. In fact, you can register your classic car or truck right there at the gate when you arrive.
In addition to all of this there will be gate prizes and hourly drawings as well. Bring the entire family as there will be activities for all ages. If you have any questions or would like further information, please call Walt McIntosh at (406)670-1846.
