Great places in Butte for National Cheeseburger Day
Today is National Cheeseburger Day and here in the heart of Beef Country, we take our burgers pretty seriously. While Butte may not have some of the big, trendy chains like Five Guys or In-N-Out, we do have many of the giants that you'll find in most cities, but it's at several local establishments that you'll find some of the best burgers in town. Here are a few of our favorites.
ROYCE'S FAMILY RESTAURANT - 2340 HARRISON
Any place that serves the Butte Burger has to be near the top of the list but at Royce's you'll also find a huge selection of milkshakes and the best fry sauce in town.
M&M - 17 N. MAIN
Even though the original location is gone, the spirit and the menu of the original M&M has moved one spot north on the 100 block of North Main Street and that means you can still enjoy such legendary Butte burgers such as the Ground Round Cheese D and the Whatzit.
THE DERBY - 2016 HARRISON AVENUE
Known for their incredible steaks, The Derby incorporates their incredible seasoning into their full half-pound Derby Burger which is made of ground steak and is one of the best you'll find anywhere.
PORK CHOP JOHN'S - 8 W. MERCURY OR 2400 HARRISON AVENUE
Although they're famous for their incredible Original Pork Chop Sandwich, the cheeseburgers at John's are my favorite in town. My pick? Easy. It's a double cheeseburger, loaded-deluxe. Simple and downright delicious.
Which place in Butte do you think has the best cheeseburgers?
