Your chance to meet or catch up with Butte natives Barbara (Bork) Alt and Brandi Watts is this Saturday as the duo will be at the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel as they launch Barbra's new book "Dreamland", illustrated by Brandi.  They have scheduled an artists reception and special book signing that the entire family will enjoy set for this Friday.  The following is a release from local author Barbra Alt:

Local Author Barbara (Bork) Alt Returns to Butte with New Children's Book "Dreamland"

Butte, MT – Butte-born author Barbara (Bork) Alt, creator of the "Rose’s Adventures" picture book series, is thrilled to launch her newest children’s chapter book, “Dreamland,” illustrated by fellow Butte native Brandi Watts, for readers ages 6 and up.

Join Barbara and Brandi at the Spirit of the Columbia Gardens Carousel (3105 Utah St, Stodden Park, Butte) on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 1–3 p.m., for a festive launch party featuring:

  • Chapter readings from Dreamland
  • Meet‑and‑greet and book signing with the author and illustrator
  • Live music and sweet treats
  • Free rides on the historic Spirit of the Columbia Gardens Carousel

Both Barbara and Brandi grew up in Butte and are proud to bring their creativity back to the community that inspired them. This event is free and family‑friendly.
