Butte Cobras announce “Montana Tech Hockey Night” this Friday
We are coming up on the close of the Butte Cobras regular season and if you haven't gotten down to the Butte Community Ice Center to take in a game, you're running out of time. The Cobras are down to their final 3 regular-season home games of the year and this Friday they are going to let all Montana Tech students into the game for only a dollar.
It will be the Badlands Sabres coming to town and the Cobras have had their way with them as of late. Butte's February overall record is 4-2 with a pair of those victories coming at the expense of the Sabres, 7-5 at the Ice Center back on February 10 and 4-1 the following day. The Cobras right now are in a season-ending logjam with only 3 points separating the 3rd through 6th place teams with their 46 points giving them sole possession of 4th place in the Frontier Division, one point ahead of the Bozeman Ice Dogs and two behind the Sheridan Hawks. So, these final home games carry a lot of importance. The Cobras will host the division-leading Helena Bighorns on March 3 and will close out the regular-season on March 4 at Helena.
The Cobras are led this season by forward Nick Bradshaw's 67 points followed by defenseman Luke Schleusner's 54 and forward Cade Wessman's 48. Of course, more than just Montana Tech students are welcome and a big, noisy crowd is always encouraged by the team. Tickets for all games are available at the door and advance tickets for all of the Cobras remaining game can also be found here. We'll see you at the rink and Go Cobras!
