BSB Departments help get into Halloween Spirit with fun jack-o-lantern contest
Let's be honest. Most times when you find yourself leaving the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse you are not smiling. Usually you have just dumped a load of money on your vehicle or property taxes. For some of us, leaving the courthouse sometimes finds us leaving through the back doors and entering a squad car, and nobody likes that. There is, however, a really good reason to visit the courthouse over the next couple of days because the rotunda has once again become a haven of Halloween jack-o-lanterns.
In what has become a Halloween tradition, the departments of our local government are helping citizens and visitors to our courthouse get into the spirit of the season by creating wonderful jack-o-lanterns that are on display right now and you have to admit, some of them are very creative. Here are some of our favorites.

Which one is your favorite? A contest is happening right now. Everyone is welcome to head on up for a look at all of the incredible entries and vote for your favorite but they do, however, ask you to please only cast one vote per person per day. The official ballot box is just outside Chief Executive J.P. Gallagher's office on the main floor.
Have a safe and happy Halloween from everyone at the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse.
